  • What is Crayon Box Politics?
Crayon Box Politics is a grassroots organization dedicated to making political information accessible, diverse, and engaging. We provide nonpartisan resources, including election guides, a weekly podcast (Crayon Box Weekly), and community-driven content that encourages informed civic participation.
  • How can I support Crayon Box Politics?
You can support us by listening to our podcasts, sharing our content, and joining our Facebook group, ‘64,’ to engage with our community. As a grassroots effort with no cash flow, your support in spreading the word is invaluable. If you’d like to contribute financially, you can donate at crayonboxpolitics.com/buy-me-a-crayon. Every little bit helps us continue our mission of making political information accessible to everyone.
  • Who runs Crayon Box Politics?
Crayon Box Politics is a two-person team led by Carl Able, a retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant, and co-hosted by Avery, a transgender veteran. Together, we bring unique perspectives and a commitment to fostering informed discussions.
  • Why the name ‘Crayon Box Politics’?
The name symbolizes our mission to represent a broad spectrum of voices, much like the variety found in a box of crayons. It also reflects a bit of humor and pride in our roots. As a Marine Corps veteran, our founder Carl Able wanted to include a playful nod to the joke about Marines being “crayon eaters.” The name ties together a commitment to diverse perspectives and a recognition of the journey that led us here.
  • What kind of content do you produce?
Our flagship podcast, Crayon Box Weekly, explores political topics through diverse perspectives in an approachable way.
